ManageAnticoag is a valuable tool designed to aid clinicians in navigating periprocedural planning and managing bleed scenarios for patients on oral anticoagulants (OAC). The application consists of three key tools that serve to assist in crucial clinical decisions:

<ul>
<li>Assessment of the necessity and methodology for interrupting and bridging anticoagulation</li>
<li>Effective management of acute bleeds, including recommendations for the use of reversal agents</li>
<li>Determination of whether and how anticoagulation should be resumed</li>
</ul>

Users, such as clinicians, can utilize the app by selecting the most pertinent tool according to the patient's situation and following these steps:

<ol>
<li>Entering patient details related to bleed and stroke risk factors as indicated in the selected tool</li>
<li>Accessing personalized guidance on the advice screen</li>
<li>Emailing a summary of the advice</li>
</ol>

In addition, healthcare providers can refer to the Quick Reference section for further information and specifics like "Guidance for Administering Reversal Agents" and "Components of the Clinician-Patient Discussion."

Information within the app is based on ACC's Expert Consensus Decision Pathways on Periprocedural Management and Bleed Management in patients with AFib. It should be noted that the app is not intended to supplant clinical judgement; healthcare professionals retain full responsibility for all diagnoses and other clinical determinations.
